Our First Dance

Our First Home!

After a year or more of searching for that place to call home, we recently signed for a house in a quiet neighborhood in Richmond, Virginia and since then, have moved out of our downtown condo! We've been very fortunate to be able to experience both areas of Richmond. Our new house is a bit large for just the two of us, but hopefully we'll be able to fill it soon with visitors (and one day.... a baby?!). We've moved our furniture in  and started to add our decorative touches to the house. My mom and Dad helped us complete a few minor projects while they were here for Memorial Day weekend. We put them to work taking down old curtains, hanging new ones, and remodeling our built-in bookshelves to make for an entertainment center. We've recently discovered what it's like to do yard work on a Saturday, how to attempt to fix minor plumbing issues, and how to agree on what color place-mat we should put on the dining table. It's been a fun, exciting time of our lives, but a stressful one as well (one mortgage payment down, many more to go...). Here's to sharing our home with our friends and family!
